Have most of the airlines adopted the one baggage limit and started charging for the 2nd? If not, which airlines still have the two bags allowed for check-in?

The Travel Insider has a great chart listing all of the baggage requirements for each airline.  There are links to each airlines baggage policy page so you can check to see if the policy at Travel Insider is up to date.  The link to the Travel Insider article is http://www.thetravelinsider.info/travelaccessories/airlinecheckedluggageallowances.htm

Although this site is good it is now outdated. It still lists Aloha and ATA. It does not list Virgin America but most of all many of these airlines are now at one bag with additional charge afterwards
Virgin America-1 bag
American Airlines -1 bag

Most others are falling in line since United has done this. For now you will have to just look on each site until someone comes up with a current list of limits.

Good question
